Norma is retired from working as an office manager for a construction company and now leisurely works for her own small business Frames & Stitches. Custom laser work, framing and matting of pictures, designing and digitizing embroidery work are just a few of the many fun things that keep her busy besides her addiction to handbell ringing. Norma also teaches embroidery digitizing classes for Bernina Sewing Center in Kalamazoo and loves to design new bell shapes for embroidery.

Norma has rung with KR for 12 years. 2 Years prior to ringing with the group Norma would spend every Tuesday night watching Jan direct, observing handbell techniques and just being a sponge and absorbing it all in (devoted groupie). Then the opening came to ring. The past nine years she has spent time ringing in Bayview MI, at the Bayview Week of Handbells. She has rung at Distinctly Bronze 5 times and looks forward to the challenge again this year.

Al is Norma’s wonderfully supportive husband, who puts up faithfully with her handbell shenanigans. He even purchased 5 octaves of handbells and 6 octaves of hand chimes to fill the new handbell room he built for her. This supposedly keeps her home so she can enjoy the art of solo ringing, or simply have friends over to ensemble ring. What could be more fun than that?!!!
How about, giving Al lists of things to create in his woodworking shop? Yes both Al and Norma enjoy combining wood and cloth to create many fun projects together.

Al and Norma also enjoy their 3 married daughters, 3 son-in-laws and of course their 4 grandsons soon to be joined by a fifth. Their grandsons range in age from 17 to soon to arrive.
God has truly blessed us with family, friends and music.
